Abstract

The problem of climate changes on the surface of the earth and the impact of direct and indirect effects on all regions of the world, including our region, is that the change in the elements of climate, especially the main elements temperatures and the amount of rainfall that showed climate change warming, especially in most regions of the southern and the eastern region of Yemen. Since the region enters within the arid and semi-arid climatic regions of the tropics, in which the desert and coastal climate is most affected by climate change. It should be noted that the result of the change in the elements of heat and rain reflects that the characteristics of the dry region began to expand at the expense of semi-arid regions of the region, and this is observed in the change of the ecosystem of the region, in addition to the impact on the public health. The current study showed that the entire population of the region is subjected to a high temperature range during the summer, and will be dozens to hundreds of people possibly suffered due to various of risks (floods, drought, desertification, heat waves and sudden cold) in the case of the current course of climate change. In summary, we recommend of building human capacities, including the provision of information and institutional structures, setting standards to measure those risks, and developing appropriate measures to address the risks of climate changes.
