Abstract

Ain Al-Huwaimi (Al-Huwaimi Spring) is one of the most famous hot springs or mineral springs in the Republic of Yemen. Al-Ain is located in the northwest of Lahj governorate, 1.8 km west of the center of Karish. The spring was characterized by a high temperature of about 71 degrees Celsius, located in the coordinates of 18".27".44 degrees east, and 06”. 23".13° N. The research aims to study the spring using an applied geomorphology study by studying its dimensions, shape, physical and chemical water properties and its human uses. The results showed that the spring is distinguished by its formation of clay limestone soils emanating from the ground and surrounded by low-level volcanic hills. As a result of external factors and the human factor, it is used in the bathing and cure of skin diseases due to the mineral and sulfur content of its water. Its waters need to be treated and purified before use, because some elements are higher than what is allowed locally and globally, the most important of which is the sulfate.
