Abstract

The study aimed to know the difficulties of solving verbal mathematical problems among the ninth-grade students from the teachers’ point of view in Aden Governorate. To solve the problem, implement the solution to the problem, verify the correctness of the solution), the questionnaire consisted of (25) paragraphs, with (5) paragraphs for each axis.,
The questionnaire was applied to a sample of male and female teachers of mathematics for the ninth grade in Aden Governorate, their number was 63 male and female teachers. The results of the study concluded that the level of difficulty in solving the verbal mathematical problem is high for the five axes. The study recommended urging mathematics teachers to pay attention to the difficulties of solving the verbal problem and put them in mind in the teaching process. It also recommended teachers to use teaching methods and strategies that contribute to alleviating this difficulty.
