Abstract

This study has been conducted to provide an agricultural geographical analysis of the natural geographical components and the extent of their contribution to the development of the agricultural activity in Tuban Delta, Lahj governorate. The natural geographical components are considered the material basis on which the development of agricultural activity depends. This is due to the strength of the mutual relationship between the growth of agricultural crops and their spatial distribution on the surface of the earth. This relationship also appears in the effect of the climate on the agricultural soil, in terms of its composition and characteristics. In fact, the agricultural work is closely linked to the climatic characteristics, as solar radiation, heat, wind and rain have an important role in the development of agricultural activity. Also, water and its impact should not be forgotten regarding increasing the agricultural area. This reflects the extent of the development of agricultural development in Tuban Delta, Lahj governorate. Furthermore, the study has also focused on the importance of exploiting the natural geographical components through which a more developed future for agricultural activity in Tuban Delta, Lahj governorate can be drawn.
