Abstract

The study examined the extent of the legitimacy of humanitarian military intervention, which is one of the concepts that has become a concern for those interested in international humanitarian law and others, because of its significant impact on the future of the concept of national sovereignty, as it has become clear that some major countries sometimes use this concept to achieve special goals that may not be related to It is necessary to protect the victims of violence practiced by states, which demonstrates the necessity of seeking to codify the concept of humanitarian military intervention and restrict its use so that it does not constitute a reason for violating the sovereignty of states. It has become obligatory for states to adhere to multiple international treaties and agreements, especially those related to international humanitarian law and human rights, and made interference is a legitimate matter, According to the Charter of the United Nations, in the opinion of many jurists, this is in the event that the concerned state violates its international obligations imposed on it by international treaties, by committing crimes that are classified among the most dangerous crimes against humanity, and some major countries seek to exploit the concept of humanitarian military intervention by In order to achieve special goals that are not related to the protection of international peace and security.
