The topic of the moment in academic settings, and schools is the AI and ChatGPT. The question is should we allow students to use it? latest literature reviews with the views of experts in the field of technology and education were reviewed. A qualitative approach and the Qualitative Meta-Analysis (QMA) method were utilized to collect and analyze the data for this study. The findings demonstrate that using AI chatbots has both advantages and disadvantages and that it is difficult to make firm decisions regarding whether to allow or forbid students in the local environment from using it due to the novelty of the technology and a lack of trustworthy research and experiences in the local environment. The results underlined the necessity of passing a few ethically sound and responsible laws and regulations addressing the usage of AI technologies in the local context. Finally, some recommendations are made.
